Post-upgrade issues

Hello everybody,

Since I have been moving around a lot lately and since I now have a very limited Internet connection (and this won't get any better until the beginning of October, for I'll be travelling to China, Corsica, etc ... during the summer), I haven't been able to maintain the forum in a diligent fashion. However, I have noted the following issues raised by members:

1) Disappearing of the Edit button: this issue has now been resolved and all posts can be edited (up to 15 days after their creation).

2) Some moderators aren't moderators anymore: this stems from the fact that the forums' permissions were all copied from those given to a specific forum; the consequence is that all forums have the same set of moderators, which is an unfortunate mistake. However, this will soon be corrected and I'll try to allocate global moderation rights so that'll be easier to manage. I know CGr, milin and mathman are among the "fallen angels", but there may be others I forgot. If you used to be a moderator and lost the moderation powers after the upgrade, you can reply to this post or pm me so that I'll soon correct this.

3) Latex size/indenting is not perfect. In order to correct this, I'd have to re-compile the latex module on a Linux platform; the only problem is that I can't run a copy of Linux on my computers (i tried, really). Maybe I'll give it a shot soon though (in October when I have access to my university's computers, which I know run Linux, for some of them).

4) Some usernames using accents (like é) were incorrectly converted during the upgrade. This is a minor issue I'll also look into.

Eventually, since I have no guarantee whatsoever that I'll be able to even simply access this website from China, please keep in mind that I may disappear for a while, but eventually I'll be back.
